Troy’s Historic Downtown is a vibrant creative, professional, shopping and artistic district on the banks of the Hudson River.
The nineteenth century buildings reflect the wealth and influence of Troy when it first prospered in the nineteenth century. The town is known for its 19th century feeling, for its independent and fine restaurants, the acoustically spectacular, world-renowned Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, and a growing group of unique retail shops in a very compact, walkable setting.
Downtown Troy is a short walk from the campuses of either Russell Sage College or Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. It is CDTA accessible, or an easy 15-20 minute drive from Albany.
